Chili Sloop

Artist and Small Business Owner

Chilis Creations

About me!

Hi! I’m Chili Sloop, an artist, designer, and small business owner based in Southern California. I create handmade, ocean-inspired apparel and intricate ink illustrations that celebrate creativity, recovery, and self-expression. Through my brand, Chili’s Creations, I merge fine art and fashion — bringing imagination to life through every stitch, line, and design.

My art is deeply personal. I’ve always been drawn to ink — the way each line feels deliberate and alive, how detail and chaos can coexist to form something beautiful. My illustrations often explore themes of nature, emotion, and transformation, using flowing lines and intricate textures to tell stories of growth and healing.

Art has truly saved my life. During my recovery from an eating disorder, I rediscovered my passion for creating. While in treatment, I began drawing again — and for the first time in years, I felt free. Art gave me purpose, peace, and a way to understand myself beyond my body. It taught me that I am valuable not for how I look, but for what I create and who I am becoming.

My background in visual arts began at the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA), where I trained for six years and developed a love for craftsmanship, composition, and storytelling. After high school, I continued studying entrepreneurship and design while growing Chili’s Creations from a small idea into a heartfelt business rooted in connection and care.

Every hoodie, patchwork, or piece of artwork I make is designed to carry meaning — to remind people of their strength, individuality, and creativity. I believe in slow fashion, handmade process, and the power of art to heal and connect.

Beyond apparel, my work includes fine ink drawings, apparel designs, and custom commissions, each created with patience, emotion, and a love for detail. Whether it’s a hoodie stitched by hand or an illustration full of tiny lines and stories, every piece I create is a reflection of both my journey and the people who inspire me along the way.

My mission is to use art to inspire healing, self-expression, and community — one handmade piece at a time.
